After failing
as a pop star and a joke writer, Russell ended up in advertising
where he tried to do 'interactive marketing' way before anyone was interested.
He ended up at Wieden & Kennedy in Portland, Oregan and worked on
Microsoft
for a number of year's, launching things such as Office and Explorer.
Having lived
through the dotcom boom on the West Coast, he moved back to
London in 2001 to work for W&K London.
In 2006 he
quit, and help set up a global, small business called the
Open Intelligence Agency. Russell also blogs about fried food and cafes
as well
as brands and ideas.
